What is The Gearseat?
The Gearseat is a professional camera transport platform that mounts into ISOFIX/LATCH points in the rear seat of a modern car, giving a fully rigged camera a dedicated position during transport.
Does it replace normal camera cases?
No. It is built for short moves and production workflows where a rig can stay assembled. Cases are still the right tool for storage, shipping and situations where a camera needs full enclosure.
Which cars does it fit?
It is designed for modern cars with accessible rear ISOFIX/LATCH points. Seat shape, anchor position and camera package size can affect fit, so check compatibility before ordering.
Which quick release systems can I use?
The Gearseat is compatible with different systems such as VCT-14, ARRI dovetail, Touch & Go and others when mounted correctly.
What screws can the baseplate use?
The baseplate can be mounted with 1/4" and 3/8" camera screws.
What is included?
The package includes The Gearseat, a seatbelt silencer clip, mounting screws and a sticker.
What is the VCT-14 edition?
The optional VCT-14 edition includes a VCT-14 quick release plate for operators who want a VCT-14 workflow included with the platform.
Will The Gearseat damage my car seat?
The Gearseat is built with soft padding where it contacts the car interior, so it is designed to sit securely without marking the seat during normal use. As with any production gear, make sure the seat surface is clean and the platform is mounted correctly before transport.
Is The Gearseat easy to install and remove?
Yes. The Gearseat is easy to install and remove because of the quick release on the ISOFIX lockings. You can install and remove The Gearseat with one hand.
Where is it made?
The Gearseat is engineered and assembled in the Netherlands by a team with camera operator experience.
